This project was at the Colgate Palmolive facility on River Road in Piscataway, NJ. We were asked to design, build and install an enclosure to house the battery charger at the helicopter pad. A 3 phase 30 amp circuit at 480 volts was brought underground 400' from the boiler house to the pad. The enclosure was designed in-house and sent out for fabrication. It was made of 3/8" - 304 stainless steel, reinforced with 1-1/4" x 1/4" steel angle iron. The doors are pancake-shaped and equipped with lift-off hinges, matched latching handles with roller guides and hasp.
