CP Electrical has been working on commercial projects for over 15 years.  Our first involvement on a sizeable commercial project was the installation of the Andover Controls Building Automation Systems in seven buildings.  These were previously owned by the Bellemead Property Management group located at the property known as Becker Farm in Roseland, NJ.  The successful completion of those buildings earned us contracts for six more Bellemead buildings in NJ for a total of approx. 2,500,000 sq. ft.

Our experience within the temperature control industry expanded to include contracts with Honeywell, CSI, Allerton, Novar, Carrier, Trane, Johnson Controls and others.  We've built control panels for the various temperature control companies and installed them where we were awarded contracts.  Completed buildings include St. Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick, St. Barnabus in W. Orange, Macy's in Paramus, AT&T in Cherryville, Allied Chemical in Morristown, Cedar Crest Retirement Village in Ridgedale, Johnson & Johnson in South Brunswick and Hopewell, Merck in Rahway and Whitehouse, St. Elizabeth's College in Morristown, Lord & Taylor in Paramus, Morris County Vo. Tech., NJ Law Center in New Brunswick, among others.

Our interest in energy management led to retrofits to the fluorescent lighting commonly found in commercial office buildings.  These fixtures were either removed and replaced or retrofitted to accept low power consumption ballasts and bulbs.  A highly polished reflector was installed for projection of higher light levels resulting in lower cost of operation due to reduced wattage.  Our largest project was to retrofit over 3000 fixtures in the Prudential building on Sylvan Way in Parsippany.

There have been numerous projects for the installation of power and lighting for general office space, but due to our interest in more technically involved and challenging projects, and realizing the changing market requirements, we shifted our attention to the Tele/Data industry.
